I think that will mean you'll get gear for Crusaders you don't have yet (which you won't be able to see now, but will already be equipped if/when you get that Crusader). I don't know what happens if you open a special chest and you have none of the Crusaders it can contain gear for. For example, this means that although the Blue Jeweled Chest can give loot for five different Crusaders, you'll only get loot for the two you have (The Bush Whacker and the Princess). You'll only get gear for Crusaders you have at the time you open the chest. Other Jeweled Chests (like the Blue Jeweled Chest and the Christmas Jeweled Chests) will only have gear for specific Crusaders. You'll want to open your regular Jeweled Chests immediately - There's nothing in them that you'll get a particular bonus for saving. I'm not sure what the exact rate of silver chests to jeweled chests is, but it's definitely much smaller than the odds of a Silver. Jeweled Chests are rarer and are nearly the only way to get Epic quality items. I'd recommend just opening the others to hopefully get better gear, or at least some crafting materials. (I'll get to events later) Although you may want to hold on to a couple Silver Chests so you can open them for a quick burst of gold, you probably don't need to have more than 10-20 saved for that purpose. Silver Chests can only contain the first three rarities of gear, and only for the non-Event Crusaders. Gear can have five different rarities: Common (White), Uncommon (Green), Rare (Blue), Epic (Purple), and Legendary (Orange). While you're working your way through objectives, there are a couple different things you'll be working on upgrading. Gray Goo (the first tier 11th objective for World's Wake) requires roughly 5e117 DPS to clear, well above the 3e69 needed for the 10th objective (And on top of that you'll need to be able to produce that DPS with only four Crusaders due to the objective's special rules) The Fantamondi fan site isn't completely up to date, but the DPS numbers it lists should be fairly accurate. That said, getting to the point where you can tackle 11th objectives will likely take you quite a while. The first tier objective for any campaign is specifically a new Crusader for one of the seats from 21-24 (These seats will appear to the right of Nate Dragon once you have one or more Crusaders that can fill them). Unlike the other objectives, the 11th will reward you with something special instead of rubies. Your eventual goal with objectives is to complete all the objectives for a campaign in a tier and then tackle the 11th objective. If that happens, or if you just see another objective unlock that sounds easy, you'll want to go do things in other campaigns. Any reset will get you some idols, but resetting after completing an objective will also net you some rubies.Īlthough to start with you'll just want to do World's Wake objectives, at some point you may hit an objective you find you can't really complete in a reasonable length of time. If you're doing Free Play right now, you probably should reset and then go attempt to tackle an actual objective with real rewards. Your short-term goal is to complete whatever your current objective is. Not sure if it was posted also in the comments b/c its been a while since I've been in this thread. Is that accurate? Why should I hold on to them.doesn't it carry over after reset? Does that hold true to other (non-silver) chests?Įdit: My formation which I think maximizes my gold and DPS, but open to suggestionsĮdit3: I just found this which is slightly outdated, but still very helpful to a beginner. I opened a few of them before, but then I read something not to open any silver chests unless I really need an upgrade and can't progress without it. Should I do missions and challenges now or wait until after resets or something else?īenefit of reset is to get idols which can help me upgrade my cruasaders, correct? Any other benefits I'm missing?ĮDIT: What are some things that I should know to avoid? rookie mistakes or big no-no's that I should avoid, etc.Ĭhests - I have these: Silver Chests x 11, Jeweled Chest x 3, Blue jeweled Chest x 1, xmas jeweled chest x 2, Tier 1 xmas jeweled chest x 1 in other words what are my short term vs long term goals? - do I simply try to complete the objectives and utilize the missions, challenges, chests, etc. Looking for something of an ELI5, but I know that may not be possible to do it without writing an essay. The Fan-Run Wiki in the sidebar helped, but still a little confused. I just started playing a week or so ago, did my first (and only) reset and now on level 108.
